How to Customize Columns for Your URLs View?
The default view on the URLs page shows a comprehensive set of data columns. While useful, this can sometimes feel cluttered and force you to scroll to find the specific information you care about, such as a particular custom parameter or the Info Field.
By customizing your columns, you can create a clean, focused workspace that shows only the data you need, in the exact order you prefer. ⚙️
1. How to Set Up Your Custom Columns
Follow these steps to define your preferred column layout for the main URLs table.
- Navigate to Settings: From within your project, click on Settings in the project navigation menu.
- Open Custom URL Columns: In the Settings menu on the left, select Custom URL Columns.
- Add a Column: Click the Add Column button to start building your custom view.
- Configure the Column: For each column you add, you will set two fields:
- Column Value: Select the data point you want to display from the dropdown menu. This list includes all standard UTM parameters, custom parameters, info fields, and metadata like "Description" or "Page Title."
- Column Heading: Enter the name you want for the column header. By default, it will match the Column Value, but you can change it to something shorter or more descriptive (e.g., changing sales_region to Region).
- Add and Reorder Columns: Repeat the process to add all the columns you want in your view. Once added, you can drag and drop the columns in the list to set the order in which they will appear from left to right.
- Save Your View: Click Save to apply your custom layout.
Note: If no custom columns are configured, the default view showing all standard columns will be used.
2. Viewing Your Custom Layout
After saving your settings, navigate back to the main URLs page in your project.

The table will now be updated to show only the columns you selected, in the order you defined. All other data columns will be hidden, providing you with a clean and focused workspace tailored to your needs.
Best Practices
- Tailor Views per Project: Customize the columns in each project to match its purpose. A "Paid Ads" project might prioritize columns for utm_term and Click Count, while an "Email Marketing" project might feature the utm_campaign and Destination URL more prominently.
- Use Custom Headings for Clarity: Shorten long or technical parameter names using the Column Heading field. For example, changing a custom parameter like affiliate_partner_identifier to a simple heading like Affiliate ID makes your table much easier to read.
