How to Edit and Manage URLs in Bulk?
Managing a large library of tracking links often requires repetitive updates. When you need to add a new label to 50 links, fix a typo in a UTM parameter, or delete an old campaign, doing it one-by-one is not an efficient use of your time.
Performing bulk operations is an effective way to manage, update, and clean your URL library. The Bulk Operations feature allows you to select a group of URLs and apply a single, powerful action to all of them at once, saving you significant time and effort.
1. How to Use Bulk Operations
Follow these simple steps to apply changes to a group of URLs.

- Select Your URLs: Navigate to the main URLs dashboard within your project. Use the checkboxes on the left side to select all the URLs you want to modify.

- Open the Menu: Once you have at least one URL selected, click the "Bulk Operations" button at the top of the list.
- Choose Your Action: A dropdown menu will appear listing all the available actions. Select the action you wish to perform (e.g., Add labels).

- Confirm Your Change: After selecting an action, you will be taken to the New Bulk operation page to configure your changes. Provide the required information and confirm your choice to apply the change to all selected URLs.
Note: This is a powerful feature. Your operation will be queued and processed in the background. This can take a while to complete, depending on the number of URLs you have selected.
2. What Can You Do With Bulk Operations?
Here is a breakdown of all the actions you can perform on a group of links:
2.1 Previous Bulk operations
This is your audit log. It's not an action on URLs, but a way to see what actions have been taken. View a complete history of all bulk actions performed.
- Click Bulk Operations > Previous Bulk operations.

- The Unperformed tab shows jobs that are currently running and not completed.

- The Completed tab shows a full history of all past operations, who ran them, and when they were performed.
2.2. Add or Remove Labels
Assign one or more existing labels to all selected URLs for better categorization. This is the best way to apply your organization's labeling strategy in seconds and organize or re-categorize large sets of links at once.

- Select your URLs, then click Bulk Operations > Add labels (or Remove labels).
- In the Specify labels box, type or select the labels you want to add or remove.
- Click Process.
- This will add (or remove) the specified labels from all selected links, making them easier to filter and find later.
2.3. Update URL (Destination URL)
Use this when your landing page URL has changed and you need to redirect existing links.

- Select your URLs, then click Bulk Operations > Update URL.
- In the Destination URL field, paste the new landing page URL.
- (Optional) Check Don't validate URLs if you are sure the URL is valid but the system flags it as incorrect.
- Click Process.
- This will change the final destination for all selected links without changing their tracking tags or short URLs.
2.4. Update note
This lets you add or overwrite the internal notes for your selected links.

- Select your URLs, then click Bulk Operations > Update note.
- In the Note text box, type the new note you want to apply to all selected links.
- Click Process.
- This is great for adding context, such as "All links for the 10/25 Facebook campaign."
2.5. Update UTM Parameters (Campaign, Medium, Source, etc.)
This is the perfect tool for fixing typos or moving a set of links to a new campaign. This example uses Update UTM Campaign, but the steps are identical for Medium, Source, Content, and Term.

- Select your URLs, then click Bulk Operations > Update UTM Campaign.
- Click the Specify UTM Campaign dropdown and select the new campaign name.
- (Recommended) To ensure your new tag is consistent with your rules, select a convention from the Apply a convention dropdown. If you're new to this, you can learn more about how to create and manage conventions.
- Click Process.
- This action will update the UTM parameter and regenerate the final tagged URL for all selected links.
2.6. Update custom parameter
Change the value of your internal tracking parameters. This allows you to edit your own internal custom parameters in bulk.

- Select your URLs, then click Bulk Operations > Update custom parameter.
- First, use the Select a custom parameter dropdown to choose which parameter you want to edit.

- A new field will appear. Enter or select the new value for that parameter.
- Click Process. This is crucial for updating internal data, like sales_region or product_sku, across many links at once.
2.7. Update info field
Bulk-edit the internal-only "info fields" associated with your selected URLs.

- Select your URLs, then click Bulk Operations > Update info field.
- Use the Select an info field dropdown to choose which field you want to edit.

- A new text box will appear. Enter the new value for that info field.
- Click Process.
Info Fields are a powerful way to add internal data for reporting. To see how you can use them for advanced segmentation, learn about the advanced usage of Info Fields here.
2.8. Add / Remove Redirect Codes
This is an advanced feature for attaching or removing tracking scripts (like a Facebook or Google retargeting pixel) to your short URLs.

- Select your URLs, then click Bulk Operations > Add Redirect Codes (or Remove Redirect Codes).

- You will be prompted to select the pre-configured redirect codes you want to apply or remove.
- Click Process.
- This is a powerful way to build retargeting audiences from users who click your links.
2.9. Update URL Monitoring
Turn the URL monitoring feature (which checks for 404 errors, etc.) on or off for all selected URLs.

- Select your URLs, then click Bulk Operations > Update URL Monitoring.
- To disable link monitoring, check the Don't monitor URLs box.
- To enable link monitoring, leave the Don't monitor URLs box unchecked.
- Click Process.
2.10. Regenerate URLs
This is a maintenance tool to rebuild your links based on your most current project settings. Rebuilds the final tagged URLs or short URLs for all selected items. This is useful if you've updated project settings like short domains or conventions.

- Select your URLs, then click Bulk Operations > Regenerate URLs.
- Click Process.
- This is useful if you have recently changed a project setting (like a new short domain or an updated convention) and need your old links to reflect this new change.
2.11. Delete URLs
This action permanently removes all selected URLs from your project.

- Select your URLs, then click Bulk Operations > Delete URLs.
- Click Process.
Warning: This action is irreversible. It is best used for cleaning up old test campaigns or links you are certain you will never need again. If you just want to test a change, consider using the Bulk Clone feature instead.
By mastering these bulk actions, you can maintain a clean, organized, and up-to-date URL database with minimal effort.
Best Practices
- Double-Check Your Selection: Before you click Process, always look at the top of the page (e.g., "Perform bulk operation on 58 selected URLs") to confirm you've selected the correct number of links.
- Start with a Small Batch: If you are performing a complex or permanent action (like Delete URLs or Update UTM Campaign) on hundreds of links, it's wise to test it on 2-3 links first to ensure the result is what you expect.
- Check the Log: After you process an operation, you can go to Previous Bulk operations to monitor its progress and confirm it completed successfully.
