How to Clone URLs in Bulk with Ease?

Often, you'll create a set of tracking links for a specific campaign or channel and then need to reuse that exact set for a new purpose, for example, a new campaign name, a new source, or a new landing page.

The Bulk Clone feature is a powerful time-saver that duplicates multiple URLs at once, allowing you to change one key parameter for all the new copies simultaneously.

Step 1: Select the URLs to Clone

1. Navigate to the main URLs dashboard.
2. Click the checkbox next to each of the URLs you wish to duplicate.
3. As you select them, the Bulk Clone (X) button will appear at the top of the list, showing how many links you have selected.

Step 2: Choose the Parameter to Change

1. Click the Bulk Clone (X) button.
2. A dropdown menu will appear with the heading WITH DIFFERENT. This menu asks you to choose the one piece of information you want to change for all the new clones.

You can choose any of the following:

• Destination URL: Creates new clones of your links, but all of them will point to a single new landing page you provide.
• UTM Campaign: Clones your links but assigns all the new copies to a new campaign name.
• UTM Medium: Clones your links but assigns all the new copies to a new medium.
• UTM Source: Clones your links but assigns all the new copies to a new source.
• UTM Content: Clones your links but assigns all the new copies to a new content tag.
• UTM Term: Clones your links but assigns all the new copies to a new term.
• Custom Parameter: Clones your links and allows you to add or change a specific custom parameter for all of them.

Step 3: Confirm and Create the Clones

1. After you select an option from the menu (e.g., UTM Campaign), a new window will open.
2. Choose the new value in the New value for Campaign field.
3. Click the Create URLs button.

The platform will instantly generate new copies of all the links you selected, updated with your new parameter. Your original URLs will not be changed.

Tips and Best Practices

• Ideal for A/B Testing: This feature is perfect for A/B testing. You can clone a set of links and use WITH DIFFERENT > Destination URL to send traffic to a new landing page version. Or, use WITH DIFFERENT > UTM Content to test new ad copy (e.g., blue_button vs. red_button).
• Check Your Count: Always glance at the Bulk Clone (X) button to confirm you've selected the correct number of links before cloning.
• Originals are Safe: Remember, cloning creates new links. Your original URLs are untouched, so you can safely use them as "master templates" to clone from again and again.
