How to Search for UTM and Custom Parameters?
As your list of UTM and custom parameters grows, finding a specific one can become challenging. Our platform includes a powerful search and filtering tool to help you locate any parameter in seconds, ensuring your workflow remains fast and efficient.
This guide will show you how to perform a basic search by name and how to use advanced filters to pinpoint the exact parameters you need.
Step 1: Navigate to Your Parameters
First, go to the list of parameters you wish to search.
- From the main menu, navigate to Parameters.
- Select the tab for the parameter type you want to search (e.g., Campaigns, Medium, Source, etc.).
- In this example, we choose Campaigns.
Step 2: Perform a Basic Search
The quickest way to find a parameter is by searching for its name.
- Locate the search bar on the right side of the dashboard.
- Type the name, or part of the name, of the parameter you are looking for.
- Press Enter. The list will instantly update to show all matching results.
Step 3: Use Advanced Search Filters
For a more targeted search, use the advanced filters to narrow your results based on specific criteria.
- Click the filter icon (â–¼) next to the search bar to open the advanced search options.
- Use the following fields to refine your search:
- Value: Searches for a parameter by its name.
- Description: Finds parameters by searching for keywords within their Notes field.
- Created By: Use the dropdown to see only the parameters created by a specific team member.
- Created between: Select a start and end date from the calendar to find parameters created within that time frame. Click Apply to set the date range.
- After setting one or more filters, click the Search button.
Step 4: Combine Filters for a Precise Search
You can use multiple filters at the same time to narrow your results even further.
For example, to find all campaigns created by "demo" during 10 Sep 2025 and 20 Sep 2025:
- In the Created By field, select "[email protected]" from the dropdown list.
- In the Created between field, select Sep 10, 2025, as the start date and Sep 20, 2025, as the end date, then click Apply.
- Click the Search button to view the precise results.
Step 5: Clear Your Search Results
If you want to start over or entered the wrong information, simply click the Clear button. This will reset all search fields, allowing you to begin a new search from scratch.
Tips for Effective Searching
- Partial Search: The basic search bar supports partial matches. For instance, searching for "summer" will find parameters named summer-sale and summer-promo-2025.
- Use Broad Date Ranges: If you're unsure of the exact creation date, use a wider date range (e.g., the entire quarter) to ensure you don't miss the parameter you're looking for.
You are now equipped to search, filter, and find any parameter you need with ease.
